Arsenal are prepared to pay Declan Rice around £300,000-a-week – but still fear missing out on the West Ham United star.
That is according to The Sun, who report that Arsenal are convinced that Rice wants to join them this summer.
It’s stated that Rice has become Arsenal’s top priority for the summer transfer window and the Gunners will offer around £80million.
Rice would also be offered up to £300,000-a-week, which sounds like a pretty staggering wage offer.
Despite Arsenal’s belief that Rice fancies the move to North London is offset by a fear that they will miss out.
Arsenal thought that Mykhailo Mudryk wanted a move to the Emirates Stadium in January, only to end up joining Chelsea instead.
The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are also keen on Rice, meaning it’s an even fiercer race for him than Mudryk.
Arsenal are seemingly prepared to put the money on the table for Rice and they will hope that is enough to tempt him.

Declan Rice should fancy Arsenal move
Rice seems ready to make his big move away from West Ham this summer with Champions League football vital for him.
Arsenal will have Champions League football on offer next season, which will surely tempt Rice right off the bat.
Then there is the fact that Rice would be joining his England international teammates Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka, who have developed brilliantly under Mikel Arteta.
The Arsenal boss should be a major attraction himself.
Arteta was a midfielder in his playing days and has really helped Granit Xhaka play in a more advanced role this season.
That could be Rice next season and whilst other offers may arrive, Arsenal should be one of his top priorities in the coming months – especially with the chance to stay in London too.
