Chelsea are reportedly seriously interested in Andre Onana, who is on the radar of Unai Emery’s Aston Villa as well.
Chelsea stance on Aston Villa target Andre Onana
Italian journalist Rudi Galetti has reported on Twitter that Chelsea are interested in signing Onana from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
Former Serie A champions Inter are willing to sell the goalkeeper if they get a suitable offer.
According to Galetti, while Chelsea are seriously interested in the 27-year-old, they do not want to pay the €50 million (£44.5 million) transfer fee that Inter want for him.
And this could open the door for Aston Villa to make their move for the Cameroon goalkeeper, described as “excellent” by Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic in SportsBrief in November 2022.

Potential boost for Aston Villa
CMW reported in March that Villa are looking at the former Ajax star as a potential replacement for Emiliano Martinez.
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been linked with former Arsenal goalkeeper Martinez.
Now, if Villa do end up selling Martinez, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, then they could just invest that transfer fee into getting Onana.
The problem that the Villans could face in signing Onana is whether the goalkeeper himself would be keen on a move to Villa Park.
Unlike Inter, Villa do not tend to play in the UEFA Champions League on a regular basis and do not challenge for domestic honours.
