Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has said that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was very cheap in terms of his transfer fee.
The former Liverpool defender has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:40pm, May 6, 2023) that Salah has been a revelation for the Merseyside club.
Carragher believes that Liverpool got Salah for a relatively low transfer fee.
As reported by BBC Sport in July 2017, Liverpool paid AS Roma £34 million in transfer fees for the Egyptian forward.
Salah scored for Liverpool against Brentford at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The 30-year-old forward found the back of the net in the 13th minute.
It proved to be the only goal of the match, as Jurgen Klopp’s side won 1-0.
Salah has now scored 19 goals in the Premier League this season.
Liverpool are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 62 points from 35 games.
The Reds are a point behind Manchester United, who are currently fourth in the standings and have played 33 matches.
Salah has scored 139 goals and created 82 big chances in 228 Premier League matches so far in his career.

Carragher said about Salah: “He has actually been a revelation.”
The pundit added: “He was actually cheap, absolutely bargain. Mo Salah was an absolute steal.”
