Arsenal have a growing belief that Reiss Nelson is leaving the club this summer after he rejected a new contract with the club.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Nelson has snubbed the chance to stay at Arsenal.
The winger’s contract ends this summer and it currently looks like he will be moving on at the end of the season.
Arsenal can’t promise major first-team minutes to Nelson and are even targeting another winger like Moussa Diaby or Wilfried Zaha.
That would push Nelson even further down the pecking order and the wide man seems resigned to moving on.
Arsenal do still have time to make a new offer but the feeling is that Nelson will be departing the Emirates Stadium.
This will be a very emotional decision for Nelson to make.
The 23-year-old joined Arsenal before the age of 10 and has made his way up through the Gunners ranks.
Often tabbed as a future star from the Hale End ranks, Nelson hasn’t quite lived up to that billing.
Nelson has managed 63 games and seven goals for Arsenal, including his hero moment with a last-gasp winner against Bournemouth earlier this year.
The starting role just isn’t going to come for Nelson and the time may be right for him to leave.

Who could sign Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson?
The report notes that Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in taking Nelson on a free transfer.
Any time the Seagulls are interested in a player, you just have to assume they’re going to be some a star at this point.
Brighton won’t be alone in this transfer race though with other Premier League clubs interested.
90Min reported in March that Brentford, Crystal Palace, and West Ham United are all interested in keeping Nelson in the capital.
Everton and Southampton were also mentioned in that report, as were Burnley – who have now achieved promotion to the Premier League.
If Nelson does leave Arsenal, he will be inundated with offers as he looks to kick on and settle down somewhere.
