Liverpool seemingly don’t have a real chance to sign Real Madrid ace Aurelien Tchouameni this summer despite Jude Bellingham’s expected move.

The Reds famously chased Bellingham for some time before seemingly backing away from the race.

It now seems that Bellingham will indeed be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Fortunately for Liverpool, the Premier League doesn’t appear to be his next destination.

The Guardian report that Real Madrid are close to securing Bellingham’s signature in a huge summer deal.

Real now appear to have their midfield ranks sorted for years to come with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric edging closer to the end.

Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Bellingham would be a difficult midfield to beat – and that’s without including Aurelien Tchouameni.

Real splashed the cash to sign Tchouameni from Monaco for £85million last summer, but another young midfielder is now coming in a year later.

That may just give Liverpool a glimmer of hope with regards to finally signing Tchouameni after the Reds were pipped to his signature last year.

Aurelien Tchouameni plans to stay after Liverpool interest

The Mirror reported in April that Jurgen Klopp was still interested in bringing Tchouameni to Liverpool.

Some may wonder if Tchouameni would be tempted to leave Real with Bellingham coming in.

However, Tchouameni seemingly doesn’t have any plans to move on despite a mixed first season.

Foot Mercato report that Tchouameni is happy at Real Madrid and has no plans to leave this summer.

Bellingham’s arrival seemingly isn’t changing Tchouameni’s plans and a move to Anfield doesn’t appear to be in his plans.

With Camavinga featuring at left back this season, maybe the future of Real’s midfield will be Tchouameni, Valverde and Bellingham.

That would leave Liverpool to look elsewhere – and maybe look at Real with real envy.
