Arsenal fans chanted at Mykhailo Mudryk ‘you should have signed for the Arsenal’ after he came on as a second-half substitute during Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
The 22-year-old openly expressed his love for Arsenal and how he wanted to sign for the north London club during the January transfer window – there were hints after hint on social media from the Ukraine star.
It seems as though Arsenal weren’t willing to pay the money Shakhtar Donetsk wanted for Mykhailo Mudryk, with Chelsea putting £88.5 million on the table, instead (Sky Sports).

Well, last night, Mudryk got his wish, which is taking to the Emirates turf, but not in the circumstances he wanted – Martin Odegaard netted a brace, with Ian Wright lauding his display.
As Frank Lampard brought the all-action winger on as a second-half substitute, he was booed by the Arsenal supporters.
They then proceeded to chant ‘you should have signed for the Arsenal’ as their team were 3-0 up against a Chelsea side that is sitting 12th in the Premier League table.
MUDRYK NEEDS TIME
Once again, Chelsea didn’t have much to cheer about last night, with Mudryk being one of their very few bright sparks.
At one point, he had Ben White on the floor, as he caused Arsenal’s backline more problems than Raheem Sterling, who was hooked off after 71 minutes.
A player like Mudryk needs time and he will cook in the Premier League. His only problem is that the environment he is playing in is very toxic and it won’t help his development.
