A claim has been made that Julian Nagelsmann will only become the Tottenham Hotspur manager on one decisive condition.

A report claimed on Monday that the former Bayern Munich boss has been shortlisted by Daniel Levy as one out of the two coaches to take over the job in N17.

While many have tipped Julian Nagelsmann to become the next Tottenham Hotspur, he may snub the move based on one key factor.

Which factor could determine whether Nagelsmann becomes Tottenham manager or not?

Spurs are in desperate need of a brand-new manager, especially as the ongoing season has been an outright disaster for them on every possible front.

Branded as a ‘tactical genius’ by Breaking The Lines, it is commonly believed that the ex-Hoffenheim coach would be the ideal candidate to succeed Antonio Conte on a permanent basis.

However, it has been claimed by journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft that Julian Nagelsmann will only accept the Tottenham manager job if a sporting director is appointed by Daniel Levy.

“Remember, Nagelsmann is used to work with a Sporting Director in Germany. There is no way he will sign before he knows who will occupy that job”, Fjortoft said on Twitter.

Tottenham should appoint a sporting director in any case

If the decision to replace Fabio Paratici at Tottenham is reliant on whether or not that could affect their chances of appointing Julian Nagelsmann as their manager, the club would be planning to fail by failing to plan.

Any and every elite club that is known to sweep up trophies season after season have an incredible structure in place that dictates their success.

As a result, Spurs should bring in a sporting director in any case, regardless of Nagelsmann’s final decision regarding the job.

If not, any new coach that the London-based club appoint is destined to bomb and eventually be sacked off the back of a torrid spell.
