Dion Dublin has stated that ‘all the players’ at Arsenal have become better following the arrival of William Saliba.

The 22-year-old initially joined Arsenal in 2019, but only proceeded to make his senior debut on the opening day of this season at Crystal Palace.

Either way, it has been worth the wait for Arsenal fans because William Saliba has been one of their best players.

That’s been proven by his absence in recent weeks, which has seen the Gunners fail to win in four matches, including getting thumped at Manchester City.

Former Aston Villa and Manchester United striker Dublin spoke about Saliba being a miss for Mikel Arteta and what he has brought to the table, as he told Football Focus.

“He’s come in and he has fitted nicely,” said Dublin. “I think all the players around Saliba have got better because he has been playing.

“But with him not being available, the relationships and the formations just haven’t been working for them.”

DO ARSENAL BRING IN ANOTHER CB?

Jakub Kiwior was brought in during the January transfer window, but he has hardly been used by Arteta in Saliba’s absence.

Instead, it has been Rob Holding who has filled in and it has been suggested that Arsenal ‘don’t trust’ the Polish defender, hence why he isn’t playing.

But should Arsenal go in for another proven CB in the summer? An upgrade is clearly needed on Holding, who has come under fire during the past few weeks.
