TalkSPORT presenter Jim White has shared what he has been told about Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Ryan Mason.
White has said on talkSPORT (10:52am, April 28, 2023) that he has been told by those close to Mason that he is very ruthless and is not afraid to make tough decisions at Tottenham.
The Englishman has been placed in charge of Tottenham for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old has publicly said (SkySports) that he wants to take charge of Spurs on a permanent basis.
Under Mason, Tottenham came from two goals to play out a 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday evening.

White said: “I have been hearing during that last break from a couple of people who are very, very close to Ryan Mason.
“One of them is telling me this morning, ‘Do not doubt the ruthlessness of Ryan Mason’.
“The other individuals getting in touch saying, ‘Have you forgotten when Ryan Mason was in charge on an interim basis, he dropped Gareth Bale?’”
HITC Verdict: Permanent role unlikely
In our view, Ryan Mason is unlikely to land the Tottenham Hotspur managerial role on a permanent basis.
We do not think that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will give the job to someone who is as inexperienced as Mason.
Yes, the Englishman knows Spurs inside out, but to manage the first team on a regular basis is extremely tough and is very different to taking charge for a few matches.
There is speculation that Levy is keen on Julian Nagelsmann, and we believe that the German would be a better candidate than Mason.
