The Telegraph have reported that former Tottenham boss Pochettino is in final negotiations with Chelsea over becoming the Blues’ permanent manager.
The report has claimed that barring any late issues, the 51-year-old Argentine manager will take the job at Stamford Bridge.
The Telegraph have claimed that “Chelsea players are excited by the prospect of Pochettino taking charge”.
Pochettino is one of the best managers available, and we are not surprised that Chelsea players are happy that he is about to come to Stamford Bridge.
Blow for Spurs fans
This latest development on the future of the former Paris Saint-Germain boss will come as a blow for Tottenham fans.
We know that Spurs fans have been chanting Pochettino’s name at matches.
A lot of Tottenham supporters would love for the Argentine to return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, as Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold has said on his YouTube channel, Tottenham “have shown zero interest in re-appointing Mauricio Pochettino”.
Spurs have not actually made an approach for Pochettino, according to Gold, and this will come as a disappointment for Spurs fans, especially as there has been speculation (The Sun in March) that the Argentine has been open to a return to Spurs.
