Considering the Gunners have succumbed to three successive draws, the Sky Blues are being massively favored to get the job done.

Perhaps rightly so from a logical standpoint considering City have hit peak form at the right time and additionally, their experience in these do-or-die contests during Pep Guardiola’s time in charge.

Arsenal fans may be disappointed to discover that Ally McCoist agrees with Chris Sutton’s prediction and expects Manchester City to get over the line.

“Obviously one of the biggest games, if not the biggest game of the season coming up, City hosting Arsenal. 3-1 to City”, he told talkSPORT.

Interestingly, before Mikel Arteta’s side showed signs of nerves in their last three games, perhaps the predictions would have favored them a lot more than they currently seem to be.

HITC View: Tough to look past the Manchester City juggernaut

To say that the contest will not be a close affair would be being too simplistic about how proceedings will pan out.

However, it is easy to agree with Ally McCoist and back Manchester City to beat Arsenal, as they have been there and done that.

In fact, since the takeover, perhaps the only such potential title decider that City have really lost was against Liverpool in the 2013/2014 campaign and even that season, they ended up winning the league.

As brilliant as the visitors have been throughout this season, the drop in performances and clear signs of nerves are all red flags ahead of a game where they face a team packed with serial winners and a manager accustomed to lifting silverware.
