Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly facing a major problem in their quest to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool’s problem in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch
The Athletic have reported that Liverpool are interested in signing Gravenberch.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have held talks with the midfielder’s father Ryan Snr and have received positive response.
Gravenberch himself is open to a move to Liverpool at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old midfielder is not happy with his lack of playing time at Bayern.
The Athletic have reported that “the major hurdle” for Liverpool is convincing Bayern to sell Gravenberch.
The defending Bundesliga champions do not want to sell the youngster to Liverpool – or to any other club for that matter – in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Liverpool “believe Bayern got him for an incredible price” (£22.3 million) and “would want a sizeable profit on that fee”.

HITC Verdict: Summer transfer complicated
Now, Ryan Gravenberch may be open to a move to Liverpool, but Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel could change his mind.
After all, Tuchel was appointed the Bayern boss just a few weeks ago, and the former Chelsea boss could make the Netherlands international midfielder a key figure in his team next season.
Bayern are not having the best of seasons, and perhaps next campaign, Gravenberch could become an integral part of the team under Tuchel.
