Boubacar Kamara has named Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate as one of his ‘Ultimate French teammates’ from Premier League players, both past and present.
The Aston Villa midfielder was asked to name the best French players based on qualities from the quickest to the one with the best shooting, with Ibrahima Konate being filled under the one who is the strongest.
The 23-year-old stated that his France teammate is a ‘monster’ for Liverpool and ‘it’s difficult to pass him’.

It has been nearly two years since Jurgen Klopp brought Konate to the club, after signing from RB Leipzig for £36 million (Sky Sports), but continual injury problems have caused havoc in his development.
Despite that, the hard-hitting centre-back has performed very well for the Reds and he is getting his flowers from his countryman, Boubacar Kamara, as he told the Premier League.
“Ibrahima Konate is stronger,” said Kamara. “Saliba is stronger.
“Konate is a monster. He runs fast. He is strong and it’s difficult to pass him. I don’t go (past him).”

KONATE IS LIVERPOOL’S FUTURE
If the 23-year-old can stay out of the treatment room, then there is no reason why he can’t be the future of Liverpool’s backline, especially with Virgil van Dijk’s issues.
Many Liverpool players have been questioned this season, but Konate has been one that has consistently done well, as he pushes ahead of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez in the pecking order for next season.
It will be interesting if Klopp does make changes to his backline because, whilst Liverpool’s form is starting to pick up, what has happened this season can’t be ignored.
