The Athletic have reported that Liverpool want to sign Mason Mount and his Chelsea teammate Gallagher in the summer transfer window.
However, the Merseyside club are aware that they would find it hard to sign both the England international midfielders from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the same transfer window.
Liverpool want Mount more than Gallagher.
The Athletic have added that although Chelsea want to keep Mount, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners “are looking to cash in on Gallagher”, just like they were prepared to sell the 23-year-old in the January transfer window.

In our view, Liverpool could be able to sign Conor Gallagher from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
That the Blues are willing to cash in on the 23-year-old is very encouraging for the Reds.
Now, of course, Chelsea will want a good transfer fee for the England international, but it is unlikely to be beyond Liverpool’s capability.
Gallagher is a very good and dynamic midfielder who can drive the team forward and hold his own in the middle of the park.
We believe that at the right price, the Chelsea player would be a very good signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
