Jermaine Jenas has praised Crysencio Summerville for his performance as Leeds United suffered a 2-1 defeat in the Premier League.
Javi Gracia’s men failed to bounce back from two consecutive defeats at Craven Cottage as Fulham recorded a 2-1 win thanks to Harry Wilson’s 58th minute strike and a goal from Andreas Pereira.
Despite failing to end up on the winning side, Summerville still impressed Jenas.
What’s the story?
Well, the 40-year-old heaped praise on the Dutchman for his efforts in west London.
Speaking on commentary duty for BT Sport, Jenas said: “He’s causing some problems, Crysencio Summerville. He’s been slick and playing through the lines. He’s having joy out there.”
The Netherlands Under-21 international was definitely one of the better performers for Leeds against Fulham, on a day where their survival hopes took another significant hit.
WhoScored shows that Summerville won three freekicks for his side on an afternoon where he caused Fulham plenty of issues, while he also registered one key pass and one successful dribble.
The 21-year-old also played the back heel which eventually led to Patrick Bamford forcing a goal back for Leeds via Joao Palhinha.

One dribble doesn’t sound like much, but no other Leeds player managed to register more.
Leeds have now failed to win in their last three Premier League outings, although Gracia can take encouragement from the fact his side did not collapse as they did in their 5-1 defeat to Crystal Palace and their 6-1 loss to Liverpool.
Leeds United have to respond
Leeds are running out of time to pick up wins.
There are no easy games in the Premier League, but the next two fixtures – clashes against Leicester and Bournemouth – are winnable for Leeds, and they have to pick up at least one victory from them.
Afterwards, Manchester City, Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham await, which is not a nice way to end the campaign.
Therefore, Leeds have to take advantage of their encounters against Leicester and Bournemouth after failing to pick up a win against Fulham.
