A claim has been made that Tottenham Hotspur have pinpointed Monchi as the ideal successor to Fabio Paratici.

The Italian sporting director was confirmed to have resigned from the Spurs job, after his appeal to overturn his 30-month ban from all footballing activities was deemed unsuccessful.

As a result, it seems as if Tottenham Hotspur already have a replacement in mind for Fabio Paratici in Monchi.

Tottenham identify Monchi as Paratici replacement

The 54-year-old is renowned as one of the smartest sporting directors in Europe, known to make extremely smart, yet bargain buys.

For instance, the Spaniard, who was employed by Sevilla and Roma, before returning to the Spanish side was responsible for the signings of Dani Alves and Ivan Rakitic to name a few.

As per a report by 90 Min, Monchi has emerged as a ‘serious contender’ to replace Fabio Paratici at Tottenham.

It has also been claimed that the transfer mastermind is increasingly likely to leave Sevilla in the summer, after a letdown of a domestic campaign.

The question amongst Spurs fans is likely to be how they should feel about this piece of news, considering they must be scarred with how things went south under Paratici.

HITC View: Monchi could transform Spurs singlehandedly

It really is as straightforward as that.

It is not a secret that the club tend to be rather frugal in the transfer market.

However, if Monchi does end up replacing Fabio Paratici, he would bring in unearthed gems to Tottenham, which is exactly the kind of appointment they need and desperately.

Instead of being demanded to spend lavish amounts to sign players, the club can stick to their existing model, while still being ambitious in the market.

Running a self-sustaining business whilst also being successful has always seemingly been Daniel Levy’s dream and he could achieve that by taking such an intriguing opportunity to bring Monchi in.
