Bruno Langa has admirers in the Premier League at Leeds United and Nottingham Forest with Chaves president Francisco Carvalho admitting that the Portuguese outfit are prepared in case of an exit.
Jurgen Klopp took pity on Junior Firpo following his error in the build up to Liverpool’s opener during Monday night’s traumatic 6-1 defeat at Elland Road. The former Barcelona benchwarmer gave the ball away mere moments before Cody Gakpo opened the scoring, his mistake proving costly even if there was more than a hint of a handball from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
And reports from O Jogo indicating that Leeds are eyeing up Bruno Langa ahead of the summer transfer window may lead to some rather probing questions about Firpo’s future in West Yorkshire.

Langa, an attack-minded left-back, has been one of the Portuguese top-flight’s breakthrough stars this term.
And, with just one year left on his contract, Chaves are leaving nothing to chance. The Primeira Liga outfit, president Francisco Carvalho points out, are ‘preparing’ for a potential summer exit.
Leeds United and Nottingham Forest like Bruno Langa
“Some clubs are greedy for (some of our) players, mainly Bruno Langa,” Carvalho tells ZeroZero. “We always have to be prepared for any player to leave.”
Langa, capped 11 times by Mozambique, is unlikely to break the bank for Leeds. The diminutive 25-year-old will, after all, become a free-agent in just over 12 months’ time.
“Bruno Langa has evolved a lot, mainly in the defensive phase,” his former international boss Luis Goncalves tells O Jogo. “I am not surprised by the interest of other clubs. Perhaps also Benfica. Bruno Langa is a quality player with enormous potential.”
Benfica are prioritising a new left-back with Alex Grimaldo set to leave on a free transfer. Nottingham Forest could also lose a left-sided defender with Renan Lodi only on loan from Atletico Madrid. Harry Toffolo may also depart.
“(Langa) is very strong in the execution of set pieces,” Goncalves adds. “He is adaptable. If he’s going to play in Portugal, France or England, it will depend a lot on the club and the coach he finds.
“But I believe he will be able to adapt to any reality.
“He’s less anxious in the game, more balanced in defending. (He has a greater) understanding when to attack or not. He’s very mature.”
