John McGinn has waxed lyrical about Unai Emery after the remarkable impact he has had in such a short space of time at Aston Villa.
Currently, the Villains are sitting in sixth place in the Premier League, which seems tough to digest considering they were battling for relegation under Steven Gerrard earlier this season.
John McGinn has gone to elaborate upon how Unai Emery has managed to pull off an incredible turnaround during his time at Aston Villa.
John McGinn raves about Aston Villa boss Unai Emery
The Spanish manager, who joined Villa after his release clause worth £5.25 million (Guardian) was paid by the Birmingham-based side was lauded by Gary Lineker as well, who branded his impact as ‘cracking.’
It seems as if the former English striker’s views have been echoed by Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn, who heaped praise on to Unai Emery.

“Probably a Spanish style. In Scotland, if you take two or three touches in midfield, you’re getting shouted at to move it on. But if there’s nobody pressing you or closing you down, you can take your time on it, put your foot on the ball and stay calm”, he told talkSPORT.
McGinn continued, “Every day I’m learning different things from him and trying to bring my qualities to the game. He’s given us all a lot of belief. He’s added so many bows to players, like myself, teaching things I didn’t think I was capable of doing things.
“I’m 28, Tyrone [Mings] is 30, there’s players who are supposed to be at the peak of their powers but we’re learning every day. He says he’s learning every day and it’s a great environment to be in. He’s a top-class manager, his record speaks for itself and he’s really keen to be successful here. It’s great to be a part of.”
Clearly, Unai Emery is one of the best managers in Europe, as exemplified by the verdict from John McGinn and his ongoing stint at Aston Villa so far.
