Mark Schwarzer thinks Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone could do ‘really well’ at Liverpool.
The former goalkeeper was reacting to the rumours that Jude Bellingham won’t be moving to Anfield this summer – it comes after the Reds backed away from a possible transfer deal.
As a result, Schwarzer thinks Liverpool should look to sign the ‘under the radar’ Manu Kone, who has been a ‘real big find’ for Gladbach in Germany.

The 21-year-old moved to Borussia Monchengladbach in 2021 from French side Toulouse after coming through the club’s ranks.
A midfielder of energy, athleticism and ball-carrying ability, amongst the Bellingham talk, Schwarzer thinks Kone is the guy for the Reds, as he told The Football Show on Sky Sports (12/04/23 at 11:50 am).
“I think Liverpool will look for value and someone who is slightly under the radar,” said Schwarzer.
“I think there is one player, for me, that stands out that plays for Borussia Monchengladbach and that’s Kone.
“He is only 21 years old. He came from Toulouse. He has only been at Gladbach for two years. But he has been a real big find for them and a phenomenal player in the Bundesliga. I think someone like him could do really well at Liverpool.”

UNDER THE RADAR SIGNINGS WORK
Yes, Jurgen Klopp has brought in some big-money signings during his time at the club, but many under-the-radar signings have also worked wonders.
Gini Wijnaldum, who they could very much do with right now, is a prime example of that.
So, if that big marquee signing doesn’t arrive and a few so-called lesser names are brought in, instead, then Liverpool fans shouldn’t feel too deflated.
