Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified a ‘heir apparent’ to Harry Kane ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Daily Mail claims Spurs see Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson as someone who could succeed Kane.
Tottenham may find themselves in a tricky situation regarding their star striker.

Kane’s Spurs contract expires at the end of next season and he’s yet to pen a new contract.
This summer could be Tottenham’s last chance to get a decent fee for the England captain.
Meanwhile, Ferguson has burst onto the scene for Brighton this year.
The 18-year-old has has eight goals and three assists to his name in 18 senior appearances this term.
More impressively, Ferguson has registered a goal contribution every 87 minutes.
Roberto De Zerbi has already backed Ferguson to become a “great player”.
The ‘towering’ teenager’s efforts have unsurprisingly led to clubs circling in pursuit of his signature.
As well as Tottenham, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Chelsea are apparently hoping to sign him too.

Our view
It’s great to see Ferguson doing so well for Brighton. He really looks like a star in the making.
However, Spurs may struggle to land him this summer. Apparently, Brighton ‘expect him to grow with them’.
And really, it might just be the best thing for Ferguson.
At 18, he still has a lot to learn. He’s doing well at Brighton, who in turn are giving him great coaching and game time.
It might be worth to see how Ferguson does in the next year or two before then looking to sign him.
