Journalist Dean Jones has said that despite Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi and Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Stellini being at loggerheads on the touchline, the former could still make his way to N17.

As Roberto De Zerbi has been linked with the Tottenham Hotspur manager job, it has been clarified that despite his argument with Cristian Stellini, his chances have not diminished whatsoever.

It seems as if the ex-Sassuolo boss grabbed Stellini’s finger when the latter tried to shake his hand, while pulling him towards him in an aggressive manner.
In addition, the pair alongside staff members from both teams’ coaching staffs got into a kerfuffle, which led to both coaches eventually being sent off as well during Spurs’ 2-1 win.
While some have questioned whether that means Roberto De Zerbi is no longer in line to become the next Tottenham manager, it has been assured that his argument with Cristian Stellini will not dampen his chances.
“I don’t think it would have put them off him necessarily. It’s just a moment in football when passions get high and that should be something that Daniel Levy will be pleased to see in a potential manager candidate”, Dean Jones told GiveMeSport.

Things get heated in football, as was the case between Roberto De Zerbi and Cristian Stellini, which should not push Tottenham away from potentially appointing him as their manager.
De Zerbi, branded as ‘one of the very best’ coaches in the world by ex-Spurs man Sandro via BBC Sport has done a phenomenal job at Brighton and could have a similar transformative impact on the Lilywhites as well.
To make such a major decision based on a sole incident would be going way overboard to say the least.
