Arsenal are reportedly set to make a contract offer to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, with Tottenham also in the hunt for the French international.
According to Tutto Juve, the Gunners are ready to make their first official move to bring the 28-year-old to north London, with Rabiot’s contract with Juventus due to expire at the end of the season amid the midfielder’s best year yet with the Italian giants.
Lauded as ‘very complete’ by Xavi Hernandez back in 2017, Rabiot has reinvented his game and thus brought his career back into a new light having been written off last year as nothing more than an expensive paperweight on Juventus’ growing payroll.
However, this season has been nothing short of incredible for Rabiot, with the former PSG star thriving for Juventus in their desperate push to qualify for the UEFA Champions League as well as playing a huge role in France’s run to the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar.

And as a result, transfer interest is spiking in Rabiot, with Arsenal now set to make a contract offer for the Juventus man despite rival competition from the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United and former club PSG, with Mikel Arteta keen to add to his midfield this summer.
Indeed, Rabiot has proven his worth and then some this season under Massimiliano Allegri. However, whilst the midfielder’s stock has never been higher, Arsenal could do better than signing the Juventus maestro this summer, especially with the Gunners set for a return to the Champions League.
Arsenal should retract Rabiot contract offer before it’s too late

Rabiot has rejuvenated his career in a way few would have expected this season. Yet whilst the midfielder is more than ready for a move to a top European club, Arsenal could be a poor choice for the Frenchman, especially with the vision Arteta has for the north London side.
The Basque manager has built this potentially Premier League-winning team on youth and drive, and whilst Rabiot could offer something for next season, the midfielder could be a poor use of funds when Arsenal might be better off targeting a younger option in the transfer market.
