Leeds United target Mateo Retegui has named where he aims to play his football next amid the constant transfer rumours surrounding him.

Leeds target Mateo Retegui admits transfer desire
The 23-year-old has been one of the most prolific strikers in South America since his arrival, scoring 22 goals last year and seven in 2023.

Seeing Retegui’s ascent has prompted the Azzurri to hand him a call-up, as he already has two caps to his name despite being yet to become a renowned figure in Europe.
As Leeds aim to complete a transfer for Mateo Retegui next season, he has flat-out confirmed that he eyes an exit sooner rather than later.
“My next club will be in Europe. I’d love to try an experience in Serie A but no idea yet, my dad is taking care of that”, Retegui said, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano.
HITC View: Leeds should now be on red-alert
It seems as if the clinical goalscorer knows something about his future that the world does not yet.
Regardless, seeing how Mateo Retegui has confirmed that he is set for a transfer, the last thing Leeds should do is rest on their laurels.
With recent results heading in a positive direction, Premier League survival could be on the cards for them.
And if so, they have a chance of securing the services of the highly-rated marksman, as the lure of playing in the English top-flight is undeniable at this point.
With Patrick Bamford’s fall from grace and Georginio Rutter still being a rough diamond, signing a striker of his calibre should be on top of their transfer to-do list.
