Arsenal and Liverpool appear to be pressing ahead with moves to try and sign Brighton and Hove Albion’s Alexis Mac Allister.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool will be in the market for new midfield additions this summer.
Arsenal look set to chase the likes of Declan Rice and Amadou Onana whilst Liverpool’s top target is Jude Bellingham.
Others will be on the respective wish lists and Mac Allister appears to be a prime target.
Top Argentinian reporter Cesar Luis Merlo reports that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all hoping to sign Mac Allister.
Merlo claims that two of those interested clubs are already negotiating to sign Mac Allister.
Mac Allister’s father Carlos – who also serves as the playmaker’s agent – is in England to monitor the situation according to Merlo.

Liverpool more likely for Alexis Mac Allister than Arsenal
Mac Allister has been enjoying quite the season.
Eight goals and one assist in 24 Premier League games this season is an impressive record for the 24-year-old.
That’s without mentioning that Mac Allister went out to Qatar and came back a World Cup winner alongside Lionel Messi.
An outstanding midfielder with real guile on the ball, Mac Allister has been hailed as ‘incredible’ by Brighton’s Adam Lallana
Arsenal already have players of this ilk such as Martin Odegaard and Fabio Vieira, with Rice making more sense for what Arsenal need.
Liverpool need midfielders and if they can’t land Bellingham, spending around £100million on a couple of midfielders rather than just one may appeal.
Mac Allister can provide energy whilst also linking midfield to attack, whilst having the potential to kick on to another level.
It won’t be cheap to prise Mac Allister away from Brighton, but it looks like Liverpool are showing a strong interest in a summer deal.
