Arsenal are still interested in signing Everton’s Amadou Onana and are in constant contact with his representatives.
The Gunners did sign a midfielder in January as Jorginho arrived from London rivals Chelsea.
Yet there is still scope for Arsenal to add more midfielders this summer with Declan Rice already eyed up.
Rice may be competition for Granit Xhaka but Arsenal are being linked with another option in Everton star Onana.
Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad now report that Arsenal are in ‘constant contact’ with Onana’s representatives.
It’s stated that both Arsenal and Chelsea are speaking to Onana’s entourage ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report claims that Everton may now demand up to €70million (£61.5million) for Onana’s signature.
Everton splashed €40million (£35million) on Onana last summer and can now seemingly demand major profit.

Amadou Onana has been likened to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira
Onana, 21, joined Everton from Lille last summer and has made a real impact in the Premier League.
A giant midfielder at 6ft 4in tall, Onana has shown his quality as a box-to-box midfielder.
Onana’s size may suit playing a holding role but that would seem like wasting his ability to get around the pitch and affect the game in all phases.
Onana has earned huge praise over the last year and has even been compared to an Arsenal legend.
Speaking to Sky Sports last summer, Roberto Martinez suggested that Onana really reminds him of a ‘young Patrick Vieira’.
Martinez raved about Onana’s ability to drive forward with the ball whilst praising his intensity – two factors you would associate with Vieira.
Onana was outstanding against Arsenal in February and the Gunners may be keen to follow up their January interest.
Belgian transfer reporter Sacha Tavolieri claimed in January that Arsenal were keen on signing Onana.
Everton didn’t want to sell in the middle of the season but Arsenal may have better luck this summer – if they’re willing to pay big money for the Belgium international.
