CBS journalist Ben Jacobs has said that Arsenal defender William Saliba has been considering a transfer to PSG.
Branded as ‘fantastic’ by Ian Wright, the youngster is yet to sign a new contract with Mikel Arteta’s side, as his current deal expires in 2024.
However, it will be a worry for Arsenal fans to discover that a transfer to PSG has appealed to William Saliba.
Arsenal stalwart Saliba considered PSG transfer
The £36,000-a-week [Salary Sport] centre-back has been a revelation since making his return from loan to London Colney this season.

In fact, it would not be a hot take to suggest that Saliba has been one of, if not the best centre-half in the Premier League this campaign.
But as time ticks and uncertainty grows around whether William Saliba will stay at Arsenal, Ben Jacobs has said that he has considered a transfer to PSG.
“His form has rocketed and how hard has it been to convince the player that Arsenal is a better option than going to France where he played so well with Marseille? He only lives 6 km from the middle of Paris in his family home, PSG were looking at centre-backs, they have [Milan] Skriniar coming in and they’ll want one more”, he said on The Done Deal Show.
“You can understand why this ‘go to France, they’ll want you and pay you handsomely’ has been in the back of his mind earlier in the season. But now, all of the parties are on the same page.”
“Saliba is the one that has been more problematic. It was always behind in terms of the roadmap, but from people I talk to and they’ve said this for months, Saliba will extend, Saka will extend and Martinelli has extended.”
If William Saliba is indeed on board with signing a contract extension with Arsenal after all, the fans should not be worried about him pushing for a transfer to PSG after all.
