Tottenham Hotspur are interested in making Zinedine Zidane their new manager following the departure of Antonio Conte.

That’s according to reports from Sky Italy, who have been covering the exit of Conte.

They claim that Conte’s aim after leaving Tottenham is to return to management in Italy, something many expected.

The attention then turns to who could replace Conte with Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique mentioned.

The report also suggests that Tottenham have an interest in appointing Zidane in what would be a shock move.

It’s suggested that Zidane is on Tottenham’s list to replace Conte and Daniel Levy could now push for a huge appointment.

Zinedine Zidane would be shock Tottenham choice

We can understand the appeal of landing Zidane.

The 50-year-old won three straight Champions League crowns as Real Madrid boss between 2016 and 2018.

An incredibly high-profile coach, Zidane enjoyed great success at Real and his next move has been shrouded in mystery.

Zidane has been linked with the France and Paris Saint-Germain jobs but Tottenham are now in the mix.

It would be a real surprise to see Zidane go from the proven winning structure at Real Madrid to trying to get Tottenham on track.

This would ultimately feel like another move where Tottenham are trying to prove they can attract the big names like Conte and Jose Mourinho without actually considering if they fit the club.

Zidane is also a former teammate of Conte’s having played together at Juventus in the 90’s are allegedly ‘best of friends’ to this day.

We can’t see this move happening at all but maybe Daniel Levy and co believe a big move is actually possible.
