Amanda Bynes opened up about her mental health struggles
Amanda opened up about her struggles with mental health in a 2015 tweet.
She wrote: “I was diagnosed bipolar and manic depressive so I’m on medication and I’m seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist weekly so I’m fine. I’m not living with my parents. I’m not legally obligated to. My lawyer said if I comply with the courts and take my meds and see my psychologist and psychiatrist weekly then I will get unconserved. Thank GOD.”
This news came a month after she was placed on a psychiatric hold. At that time, the actress had alleged her father had placed a “microchip” on her brain. Following this, she was placed under conservatorship.

The star seemed to be doing better than before and was focusing on her mental health. She even became active on social media and often interacted with her fans.
In 2020, she again shocked fans as she announced her engagement to Paul Michael. However, their relationship did not last long as two years later, in 2022, they called off their engagement.
