Arsenal ready to use Folarin Balogun to sign Ismael Bennacer

The Italian news outlet has claimed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta personally wants Bennacer in his squad for next season and beyond.

The report has added that Arsenal are willing to sacrifice Balogun and are ready to use him in a swap deal.

And, according to CMW, it could be appealing for Milan, as the defending Serie A champions could be on the hunt for a new striker in the summer transfer window.

Balogun is on loan at Reims from Arsenal at the moment.

The 21-year-old striker has scored 16 goals and given one assist in 23 Ligue 1 starts for Reims so far this season.

In February 2023, Arsenal boss Arteta described the striker as “really ambitious, really committed and really brave” on the club’s official website, adding that the striker “is doing it’s just incredible”.

Bennacer, was on the books of Arsenal from 2015 until 2017.

The 25-year-old Algeria international midfielder failed to make a huge impact at Arsenal, but, according to Milan legend Massimo Ambrosini in DAZN in March 2022, he is “revitalised in every aspect”.

The midfielder helped Milan win the Serie A title last season.

The Italian club have reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League this season.
