Neil Redfearn has praised Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto on BBC Radio Leeds (3:49pm, March 18, 2023) for his assist for Jack Harrison’s goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the first half of the Premier League match at Molineux Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds took on Wolves away from home in the Premier League this afternoon.
The West Yorkshire club scored after just six minutes.
Former Manchester City prospect Harrison was the goalscorer.
It was £20,000-a-week (Spotrac) Gnonto who provided the assist.

And former Leeds head coach Redfearn was impressed.

Redfearn said: “Yeah, it was all about Gnonto for me. A couple of diagonal balls got played out, the original one was defended by Wolves, the second one Gnonto did fantastic, got down the outside, pulled the ball back to Jack Harrison, and what a fantastic one-touch finish past the keeper.”
Impressive
In our view, Wilfried Gnonto is one of the best young players in the Premier League and has been superb for Leeds United this season.
The 19-year-old Italy international has grown and developed as a footballer over the past several months.
Gnonto has pace, is direct, can get past players, and is a real threat in attack.
We believe that Leeds head coach Javi Gracia now simply has to keep Gnonto in his starting lineup.
He deserves it.
