Will there be enough source material for season 2?

Yes, following the premiere of the Blue Lock season 1 finale next week, there will indeed be enough source material for a second TV season.

Season 1 is expected to conclude by adapting up until the end of manga volume 11 chapter 86, the good news for fans is that a total of 23 complete volumes have already been published in Japan.

This means that there should be enough source material to produce another 24-episode season straight away; although it’s more likely that the production team at Studio EightBit will take a well-earned rest before starting work again.

17 of those Blue Lock volumes are already available to read in English, with volume 18 set to release on March 21 through Kodansha. The latest issue will be available first as an e-book, available to stream via Amazon Kindle, Bookwalker, Google Play, Rakuten Kobo, MyAnimeList, and Nook.
