Tottenham Hotspur sold Juan Foyth to Villarreal after the defender failed to make a massive impact at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and now the Argentina international defender could find himself on the move to Italian and European giants Juventus.

Foyth joined Tottenham in 2017 and was expected to be a star at the North London club.

The 25-year-old defender, though, could not make a massive impact at Spurs.

After a loan spell at Villarreal in 2020-21, Foyth joined the Spanish club on a permanent deal.

Tottenham got £12.9 million in transfer fees for the defender (90min).

The defender could make only 16 appearances in the Premier League during his time at Tottenham.

CMW are reporting that Juventus are looking for a new defender in the summer transfer window and believe that Foyth would be a good fit for them.

The Italian powerhouse will have to pay as much as €54 million (£47.30 million) in transfer fees for the 25-year-old, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina and can operate as a right-back, centre-back or defensive midfielder.

That is Foyth’s release clause in his Villarreal contract.
