How many post or end credits scenes are in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods? HITC investigates.

Costumed and caped heroes have become a popular staple of blockbuster cinema over the years and the superhero genre has expanded to explore a range of DC Comics characters, with Shazam! Fury Of The Gods reuniting audiences with the titular icon.

Starring Zachary Levi in the central role, director David F. Sandberg has plenty in store for the 12th installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and the first direct sequel to 2019’s Shazam!

Not only do we have the likes of Helen Mirren making her DCEU debut but Lucy Liu too, with the actresses portraying Hespera and Kalypso, respectively.

Audiences can check out Shazam and his foster siblings fighting to save the world from the Daughters of Atlas in theaters from Friday, March 17th 2023. Before you head into the cinema, on the other hand, it’s worth knowing whether it’s wise to head for the door once the credits begin or not. So, how many post or end credits scenes are in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods?

How many post-credits scenes in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods?

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods has two post-credits scenes to stick around for.

The first is a mid-credits sequence that audiences will have to wait roughly half of the credits to see. However, you’ll be rewarded to stay until the very end because the second scene comes once the credits have finally finished rolling.

Both sequences serve to foreshadow the future of DC on-screen and are important to the franchise, rather than being fun, throwaway moments.

‘I think he’s a visionary kind of guy’

James Gunn and Peter Safran are now co-CEOs of DC Studios and Zachary was recently asked by Screenrant where he would like to see the duo take Shazam next:

“Wherever they want. I’ve known Peter Safran for years because he’s my boss. He’s now my boss-boss, but he’s been my boss as my producer. And I’ve known James for years and been a fan of his work for years. I think he’s a visionary kind of guy.”

He continued: “He really understands world-building, and I trust that they’re going to come up with some really cool avenues and directions for all of them. Not just Shazam [and] the Shazamily, but all the characters within DCU to go live really cool lives and make cool movies. And wherever they collide me into them, I will be stoked.”
