Newcastle United are interested in signing Alexis Mac Allister as they consider another raid on Brighton and Hove Albion this summer.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that Newcastle are right in the mix for Mac Allister at the end of the season.
It’s claimed that Mac Allister is ‘ready to leave’ Brighton this summer and Premier League clubs are flocking around him.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to be looking at Mac Allister as a summer signing.
Atletico Madrid, Inter, Juventus and RB Leipzig are all keen on luring Mac Allister away from the Premier League.
It’s unclear just how much Brighton would want for Mac Allister, and the Seagulls don’t actually have any plans to sell.
Yet having offloaded Ben White, Yves Bissouma and Marc Cucurella in recent times, Brighton may well be willing to strike a deal for a large price.

Newcastle United would pull off huge coup with Alexis Mac Allister
Newcastle are pretty regularly linked with signing Brighton players at this point.
Dan Burn joined the Magpies last year and Dan Ashworth made the same move in order to become Newcastle’s sporting director.
Robert Sanchez, Leandro Trossard, Adam Webster, Moises Caicedo and Evan Ferguson were all linked with moves from Brighton to Newcastle in recent times.
Mac Allister would make sense as a Newcastle target as they seek more guile in the middle of the park.
The Argentinian World Cup winner – who was signed during Ashworth’s time at the club – can certainly provide creativity from midfield.
Bruno Guimaraes needs some help in midfield in terms of making an impact in the final third and Mac Allister has shown that he can be that player.
Branded ‘incredible’ by Adam Lallana, Mac Allister has starred for club and country with a big move surely on the horizon.
Beating the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea won’t be easy but Newcastle have money to spend – and Ashworth may well want to spend it on a player he knows well.
