Tottenham Hotspur may be willing to offer Premier League misfit Tanguy Ndombele in exchange for Marcelo Brozovic with one of Fabio Paratici’s leading targets facing an uncertain future at Inter Milan, according to Inter Live.
While Antonio Conte’s contract expires in a matter of months, Paratici’s own deal still has over a year left to run. Presuming he sticks around until 2024 – despite being caught up in that messy Juventus saga – the former Allianz Stadium chief will be at the heart of Tottenham’s summer rebuild, a new head coach and some top-quality talent needed in North London.
Paratici will also be under pressure to find buyers for some of Spurs’ high-earning underachievers. Take Ndombele, for instance; the £55 million forgotten man who has been little more than an afterthought on loan at runaway Serie A leaders Napoli.

Ndombele, in all competitions, has started just nine games under Luciano Spalletti. Napoli appear highly unlikely to trigger the £25 million option-to-buy clause in his contract. And the prospect of getting Ndombele out the door – while bringing in one of Europe’s finest deep-lying playmakers – feels like one of those ‘kill two birds with one stone’ scenarios.
Tottenham Hotspur like Inter Milan ace Marcelo Brozovic
A key part of the Croatia squad which finished third at the Qatar World Cup; Brozovic s under contract until 2026. But, after suffering from calf and hamstring injuries in recent months, the former Dinamo Zagreb ace is no longer a guaranteed member of Simone Inzaghi’s XI. Hakan Calhanoglu has thrived of late in the deep-lying role Brozovic had previously made his own at the San Siro.
Inter, per Corriere dello Sport, are willing to accept offers of around £25 million. In addition to Tottenham, Chelsea, Barcelona and Luka Modric’s Real Madrid are eyeing up the 30-year-old string-puller.
Italy legend Beppe Bergomi, however, believes Brozovic is ‘irreplaceable’. There are, after all, a shortage of genuinely elite-level midfielders who Inter could genuinely afford.
“He is irreplaceable in (Simone) Inzaghi’s eleven,” Bergomi said last year. “You don’t have another Brozovic, another player who can do that kind of work.
“And in Europe, how many are there of Brozovic? If you have to make an effort (to keep one player), I would do it with him.”
