Tim Sherwood says he is ‘100%’ sure that Antonio Conte won’t be leaving Tottenham Hotspur until the season is done and dusted.
There has been a lot of talk about Conte’s future at Spurs, with his contract at an end in the summer, but whilst some have suggested the Italian could be gone by the time the season ends, Sherwood thinks such a call won’t be made.
Despite that, the former Tottenham boss still expects Conte to head for the exit door in the summer because he ‘isn’t a builder’ but someone who needs to be winning right at the moment.

After the defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League, there were a lot of emotions flowing around north London and talk of player and manager futures.
Of course, the two at the top of everyone’s lips – star striker Harry Kane, who netted a brace against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, and the man making the calls from the touchline.
Nonetheless, when Sherwood was told that there is talk of Conte leaving before the season is up, he debunked those claims, and suggested that the Spurs boss will end up at Juventus, as he told MatchDay Extra on Premier League Productions (11/03/23 at 8:30 pm).
“Huge win against Forest, but I don’t believe that Conte will be leaving Tottenham until the end of the season,” said Sherwood.
“100%, he will see it out. If he takes them to the top four again, which is Champions League football, then I think it’s a job well done.
“I don’t think he is a builder, though. He never has been. He wants to win instantly. He normally spends two years at a football club and he normally has a few pots in the cabinet. If he’s going to win nothing, then I think he’s ready to go somewhere where he can win, maybe Juventus again.”

TOTTENHAM’S TOP FOUR RACE
It’s amazing how a few results over the weekend can change the mood around camp because it’s exactly what’s happened for Spurs.
At Saturday lunchtime, Liverpool were beaten by Bournemouth, which meant that they missed out on leapfrogging Spurs into fourth spot in the table, before their win against Nottingham Forest.
Whilst that went Tottenham’s way, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle beat Wolves to close the gap to four points, with two games in hand.
