Journalist Graeme Bailey has explained to TEAMtalk just why Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are so keen on signing Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.

Bailey has reported that Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City are among the clubs who are keen on securing the services of the 21-year-old centre-back.

Gvardiol is one of the best young players on the planet who starred for Croatia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Why Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City like Josko Gvardiol

Bailey wrote: “TEAMtalk understands Liverpool, Tottenham and City are all hugely keen on the Croatia international.

“They love the fact he is young, left-sided, comfortable on the ball and physically strong – he has everything a defender needs to shine at the very top.

“Gvardiol being such a huge talent means it is not very surprising that Real Madrid are also on his trail.”

The journalist added: “TEAMtalk has been told that Gvardiol is going to take his time, a bit like Borussia Dortmund’s Bellingham. He does not wish to be rushed into a move which might not be the perfect one for his career.”

In demand

It will be interesting to see what Josko Gvardiol does in the summer transfer window amid interest from Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Now, we do not think that the defender will pick Tottenham ahead of the likes of Liverpool, City and Madrid.

It is clear that the defender will take his time to make a decision.

We believe that Gvardiol should pick the club where he would play regularly and where he would develop the most.

Let us not forget that the defender is only 21.

We do not think that Gvardiol should jump at the club that offers him the most money.

It should be a footballing decision.
