After Tottenham Hotspur exited the Champions League after a 1-0 defeat to AC Milan over 2 legs in the Round of 16, Danny Rose said that he does not see Antonio Conte staying at the club beyond this season.
The £288,000-a-week man is yet to renew his contract at the club with just 12 games left in the Premier League this campaign, with an exit seeming inevitable at this point. With Spurs having failed to end their 15-year wait for a trophy as well as no commitment from the ex-Chelsea boss to stick around for years to come, that seems to be the likely end to this chapter.
Danny Rose, who played for Tottenham from 2007 to 2021 feels the same as he has predicted Antonio Conte to walk away from the club after his side succumbed to a 0-0 draw against AC Milan on Wednesday.
Danny Rose says Antonio Conte will leave Tottenham after AC Milan draw
While it seemed like the Lilywhites had finally found the serial winner they dreamt of after the ex-Inter Milan manager guided them to Champions League football last season, things have turned sour this campaign, with their spot in the top 4 also now looking shaky.
After Tottenham were dumped out of the Champions League by AC Milan, Danny Rose explained why he thinks Antonio Conte is set for an exit on Sky Sports via Football Daily.
“Discreet things throughout his press conferences that he references to lack of money, ‘you need more to compete’ and last season was a miracle…which it was to finish in the top 4. I’m not sure that goes down well, hearing it, week in, week out. I’m not sure that goes down well with the fans and the hierarchy at the football club.”

“To be honest, if a manager’s not signed a new deal 2 months towards the end of the season, I think that says everything.”
It seems as if most Tottenham fans themselves will agree that Antonio Conte is now likely to walk out of the exit door, especially off the back of their disappointing result against AC Milan.
