Charles Sagoe Jr has been spotted in first-team training for Arsenal ahead of their upcoming 1st leg clash in the Europa League Round of 16 against Sporting CP.
The 18-year-old left-winger was called up to training by Mikel Arteta ahead of their recent 1-0 victory against Leicester City. Just recently, it was reported that Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand, Reull Walters and Joel Ideho were added to the Gunners’ Europa League B-List Squad.
Now, Charles Sagoe Jr. has been pictured training in and amongst the Arsenal senior team as they prepare to lock horns against Sporting CP.

According to youth football expert Jeorge Bird, the ‘skilful’ winger is capable of operating out wide as well as in an attacking midfield role, and has impressed at youth level as well.

Now, a picture of Charles Sagoe Jr. has been spotted in Arsenal first-team training, as shared by Bird as the side gear up to face Sporting CP in the Europa League Round of 16.
While it is highly unlikely that the teenager starts, he could potentially get minutes off the bench over both legs in the event that the Gunners are cruising along.
Big chance to prove that he can make the cut at Arsenal
Not to overburden the youngster but considering Mikel Arteta’s side will continue to strengthen as time progresses, it is likely that competition in the attacking areas will only increase.
Keeping that in mind, if Charles Sagoe Jr. does manage to catch the eye in Arsenal training, especially as instantly as in the build-up to their contest against Sporting CP, Mikel Arteta could consider him as a future first-team player.
With the league leaders already being spoilt for choice in the attacking positions behind the striker, the quicker the raw prospect makes an impression, the likelier he is to make the grade at the club.
