Italian outlet CMW claim Arsenal want to sign Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer from Juventus in the summer and are willing to include Takehiro Tomiyasu in a deal for a player that sits ahead of Gabriel in Tite’s Brazil pecking order.
Bremer, 25, joined Juventus from Torino last summer after starring for the Serie A club. Clocking up 110 games and scoring 13 goals, Juve made their move. He has been a regular, playing 27 times in league and cup for the Old Lady.
But with Juventus suffering a 15-points deduction and finances all over the place, Juve may have to sell some of their squad. Bremer included. They value him at a fee of £44.5m – but would not sell under normal circumstances.
However, that stance has had to soften. Arsenal are not prepared to pay the full whack, but they are willing to part with around £27m and fringe player Tomiyasu. The Japan star has been in and out of the Arsenal side this season.
Ben White has become the club’s first-choice right-back. Gabriel and William Saliba have been mainstays in the Arsenal defence. Tomiyasu has come in, but has made mistakes. CMW say a player-plus-cash deal is on the cards.

Arsenal want Bremer and are willing to include Tomiyasu plus £27m
What a signing Bremer would be. While Gabriel and Saliba have been excellent this season, there are mistakes in the duo now and then. They are hardly commanding centre-backs either. Bremer completely changes that, if he joins.
A player that is supreme in the air, proven by his goalscoring stats at both Torino and Juventus. He has 16 goals in 137 games at both clubs. It gives Arsenal a new dimension. Not only that, but he is more than adept in possession.
So, if the Gunners can strike a deal for Bremer – even if it means losing Tomiyasu – then it would be a stunning bit of business. Clubs will look to take advantage of Juventus’ plight this season and Arsenal must be no different.
