Pedro Porro has sent a message to Tottenham Hotspur fans after Saturday’s disappointing 1-0 defeat away at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tottenham really needed a response on Saturday afternoon.

The midweek FA Cup defeat at the hands of Sheffield United was a massive disappointment and Spurs needed to get back on track.

However, Tottenham fell flat once again as they were beaten 1-0 at Molineux.

Adama Traore – a player seemingly linked with Tottenham in every transfer window – scored the only goal of the game, securing a narrow wi for Wolves.

It just wasn’t Tottenham’s day as they struck the woodwork twice before Traore’s shot went off the bar and in.

This was a real missed opportunity for Tottenham given that Newcastle United lost at Manchester City.

Add in that Liverpool closed the gap on Tottenham by beating Manchester United and this was a terrible weekend for Spurs.

There were some encouraging displays in the Tottenham side though, with wing back Porro chief among them.

The Spaniard endured a torrid debut at Leicester City but impressed against Wolves.

Porro hit the crossbar in the first half with a beautiful fire kick that may leave fans excited to see his dead ball ability moving forward.

Porro went close in the second half too as a deflected shot went just over the bar.

This was much better from Tottenham’s deadline day signing, and Wolves only grabbed their winner after Porro was substituted.

Porro has now taken to Twitter to send a message to Spurs fans, simply saying ‘never give up’.

Tottenham are still in the top four and really need to cling onto that last Champions League spot.

Liverpool are hunting them down, leaving Porro and co to try and regroup and pick up points in the coming weeks; ‘never give up’ needs to be the message for Tottenham moving forward.
