Everton and West Ham United are both interested in signing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson as he approaches the end of his contract.

That’s according to 90Min, who claim that Arsenal are set to pursue talks with Nelson over a new deal.

The winger is out of contract this summer and will soon be able to leave the club for absolutely nothing.

A host of clubs are thought to be interested in Nelson, including Everton and West Ham.

Brentford, Crystal Palace, Burnley and Southampton are also thought to be keen on Nelson.

Add in interest in teams in France, Germany and Italy and it looks like Nelson won’t be short of offers if he does choose to leave Arsenal.

The clock is ticking for Arsenal, but you would imagine Nelson would prioritise staying with the Gunners over any other offers.

Reiss Nelson has had his hero moment at Arsenal

Nelson has come up through the Hale End ranks having joined Arsenal at the age of just nine.

Long tipped for stardom at the Emirates Stadium, Nelson has sadly been bypassed by the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.

Now 23, Nelson has never quite lived up to his potential at Arsenal but he will still go down as a hero.

Nelson smashed a last-gasp winner against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, giving Arsenal a dramatic 3-2 win.

That goal could prove to be absolutely vital in the Premier League title race and it’s nice for Nelson to have this moment of stardom.

Everton and West Ham may be able to offer more first-team football to Nelson but Arsenal is in his heart.

That means Nelson may well be tempted to focus on staying rather than join a Premier League rival.

Mikel Arteta is clearly a fan of Nelson, telling Football London that the wide man is now at a ‘different level’ and has taught the Gunners coaches a lesson about his quality.

Maybe we will see Nelson play more first-team minutes before the end of the season to then sign a new deal, just as Eddie Nketiah did last season.

Everton, West Ham and many more are lurking with intent though and Nelson has some big decisions to make.
