The report has claimed that Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid all want to sign Gvardiol from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea wanted to sign the Croatia international centre-back in the summer of 2022.
Liverpool and Manchester City are regularly scouting Gvardiol this season with a view to a summer move, according to the report, which has added that last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid are also keen on 21-year-old, who has a release clause of £98 million in his contract (SkySports).
Modric plays with the young defender for the Croatia national football team.
The two players helped Croatia reach the semi-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
