Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams has said that he backs Georginio Rutter to become a success at the club.
After all, the ‘spectacular’ £15,000-a-week man is the Whites’ club record signing for a reason. However, the 20-year-old has been eased in since his arrival in January, as he is yet to make a single start in the Premier League so far.
While many have wondered whether Georginio Rutter has what it takes to become a hit at Leeds, it seems as if Tyler Adams needs no convincing.
Tyler Adams says Georginio Rutter will be a hit at Leeds
The French striker was convinced to make the move to Elland Road by none other than fellow countryman Illan Meslier, who must have been aware of just how talented he is.
Another player at Leeds who was always cognizant of just how much natural ability Georginio Rutter has was Tyler Adams, as he told BBC Radio Leeds, “Against Accrington Stanley, I could see right away that he has the qualities to succeed here. I had the opportunity to play against him in the Bundesliga.”

“I was always wondering, ‘who is this kid? Where is he from?’ I see it in training. He’s comfortable under pressure, he can play with both feet. He’s not afraid to go at you. That’s the kind of attackers you want, you want guys that are going to keep defenders at their heels. He’s going to be an important player for us.”
High praise from Tyler Adams
Considering Tyler Adams was claimed to have outclassed Declan Rice at the World Cup by Chris Sutton, he is clearly considered as a top talent himself, so for him to be as blown away as he is by Georginio Rutter is telling.
The two-footed ex-Hoffenheim forward certainly seems to have shown in glimpses that he is so much more than just a No.9 and once he starts getting regular starts, he could tear defences up in the Premier League.
