Tottenham Hotspur face Sheffield United on Wednesday evening as they look to progress to the sixth round of the FA Cup.

The north London club have, famously, not won a trophy for 16 years, and the FA Cup represents their best chance of ending that silverware drought this season.

Spurs face off against a high-flying Sheffield United side who have their own pedigree in this competition, famously making the semi-finals back in 2014 despite being a League One club at the time.

Spurs actually played against the Blades in the League Cup semi-final in 2015, and they were given a real scare by the Yorkshire club.

Make no mistake about it, the Blades are no pushovers, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Spurs’ starting XI for this one.

Predicted XI for Tottenham vs Sheffield United

We think that Tottenham may opt to make four changes from the team that beat Chelsea at the weekend.

Japhet Tanganga comes into the backline as he looks to recover after a poor outing against Leicester City last month, while Pedro Porro returns to the right wing-back role as he looks to make some headway at Spurs after his January arrival.

Ivan Perisic is back on the left side as Ben Davies is handed a rest.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg returns to the midfield, while he’s partnered by Oliver Skipp who scored a fantastic goal at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Arnaut Danjuma gets a rare start in the attack, while Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski make up the front three.
