Clinton Morrison has said on Sky Sports News (3:39pm, February 25, 2023) that Leeds United midfielder Weston McKennie was “outstanding” against Southampton in the first half of the Premier League game at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The former Crystal Palace forward was hugely impressed by what he saw from McKennie in the first half of the match between Leeds and Southampton.
The USA international midfielder, signed on loan from Italian giants Juventus in the January transfer window, started the match for the West Yorkshire club.

Morrison said in the 39th minute: “McKennie has been outstanding for them in midfield.”

In our view, Weston McKennie played well for Leeds United against Southampton in the Premier League today.
The 24-year-old USA international is a very dynamic and combative midfielder.
Now, the American star did not always have the best of times at Juventus, and we have yet to see the best of him at Leeds.
That McKennie played well against Southampton should give him confidence, as Leeds need him in their quest to escape the dreaded drop to the Championship.
The American star is hugely experienced, and Leeds will need him at their best.
