Jose Enrique has said on Instagram that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should sell Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window.

The former Liverpool star does not think that Salah has been at the top of his game ever since he came back from playing for Egypt at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Senegal beat Egypt in the final in February 2022.

Enrique, who now works as a pundit, believes that Liverpool owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), should sell the 30-year-old at the end of the season.

The former Liverpool ace made the comments about Salah in the wake of the Reds getting hammered by Real Madrid at Anfield in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Unlikely to happen

In our view, it is unlikely that FSG will want to or will be able to sell Mohamed Salah from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The Egyptian has not been in good form this season, but he is still one of the greatest players in Liverpool history.

And he is still a superstar.

Moreover, Salah earns £400,00 per week as salary and signed a new contract with Liverpool only last summer.

How many clubs in Europe would be willing to match that salary?
