According to a report relayed by Italian outlet L’Interista, Arsenal are now one of the most interested clubs in signing Tottenham Hotspur-linked defender, Denzel Dumfries.
In fact, before Pedro Porro’s switch to Antonio Conte’s side, it was reported that the club had set their sights on signing the ‘brilliant’ Dutch international.
However, it seems as if Arsenal are now planning to take Denzel Dumfries away from Tottenham Hotspur’s hands in order to further bolster their squad in the summer of 2023.
Arsenal extremely keen on Tottenham target Denzel Dumfries
Currently, the Gunners are in a tight hunt for the Premier League crown with Manchester City and their aim must be to ensure that this is anything but a flash in the plan.
Keeping that in mind, it seems as if Arsenal are already looking at the bigger picture, with a report relayed by L’Interista, the club are in the ‘front row’ of suitors for Tottenham target Denzel Dumfries.

However, Inter Milan will demand a hefty £53.3 million fee for the high-flying right-back, as they are ready to ‘cash in’ on him and have already identified a replacement for him in Tajon Buchanan.
The move makes a lot more sense for Tottenham
Ultimately, it remains no secret that the 26-year-old is a right wing-back and not a full-back that is at his best playing in a back 4.
Considering Tottenham play a back 3 and Denzel Dumfries has previously won Serie A as a wing-back under Antonio Conte, he would be much more suited to joining them than Arsenal, who play a back 4.
While the Gunners could perhaps do with upgrades at right-back, with Ben White not offering much in terms of his final ball and Takehiro Tomiyasu being more defensively minded, surely the ex-PSV Eindhoven man is not the right man to target from their perspective.
