After Leeds United suffered a 1-0 defeat against Everton, Michael Skubala said that his players need to stick together and they will likely escape relegation.
While that may be true, the result against Sean Dyche’s side is an absolute hammer blow for the Whites, as this was the definition of a 6-pointer for both sides. However, the Toffees went over the line, courtesy of a winner from Seamus Coleman in the 64th minute.
As Leeds sit in 19th place after their latest defeat to Everton, Michael Skubala has promised his players that if they continue to do the right things and keep their heads held up high, relegation will not be in their destiny.
Michael Skubala sends Leeds players a relegation message after Everton defeat
While there is a long time left in the season, other sides will ultimately pull away if Skubala and Co. do not get their act together.

Speaking to BBC Sport after Leeds lost 1-0 to Everton, however, Michael Skubala said, “Stick together. You’re a good team and good players. We just need to work on a few things and we will pull away [from the relegation zone].”
Positive performances will ultimately lead to survival
Largely, Leeds have looked miles better recently under Michael Skubala, even though they barely created against Everton, which is a positive omen regarding their chances of avoiding relegation.
The focus of the club should be to ensure that they keep performing, as they did against Manchester United and not lose their heads, as their chances of survival are still very much alive this season.
As Michael Skubala said after the Everton game, Leeds need to regroup and stick together, because relegation would be harsh on a club with enough quality and that came up in style under Marcelo Bielsa.
Ultimately, every neutral would hope that they get their house in order.
