Real Madrid are reportedly ready to rival the likes of Newcastle United to sign Napoli superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has attracted suitors from all over Europe this season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Georgian winger is now on Los Blancos’ radar following a sensational campaign for the Serie A leaders, with Kvaratskhelia scoring 11 goals and bagging 14 assists in all competitions for Napoli, who sit top of the Italian top-flight as well as look like underdogs for the UEFA Champions League.
Lauded as ‘the best player in Europe’ by former Serie A forward Roberto Sosa, Kvaratskhelia’s form has, as you would expect, attracted some serious interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world, with the Chronicle reporting that Newcastle are one of the sides chasing the 22-year-old.
With Napoli and the player’s agent continuously stating that the winger is happy in Naples, it’s unlikely that Kvaratskhelia will be leaving Italy anytime soon. However, interest from Madrid could change a lot of things for the attacker given just how big the Spanish side is.

Indeed, Kvaratskhelia could become the first Georgian to ever play for Madrid in what would be a historic moment for the east European nation. However, Napoli will likely only allow the forward to leave if they receive an astronomical offer for the attacker, something Carlo Ancelotti might not be willing to put up.
As we know, Madrid have already gone big in investing in Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, and with Vinicius Junior arguably the best left-sided attacker in world football, signing Kvaratskhelia might be viewed by many as a waste of limited funds for the La Liga side, much to the pleasure of Newcastle.
Newcastle could beat Madrid to Kvaratskhelia signing

A world where Newcastle could beat Madrid to one of the most in-form players in Europe might seem something straight out of a fairytale, yet this is the reality we could find ourselves in should the Magpies push hard enough to land Kvaratskhelia.
As we know, Newcastle have the funds and the ambition to sign essentially any player in the world, and whilst Madrid could have a shot at signing Kvaratskhelia, the sheer wealth the St. James Park side posses could make the Spanish side’s offer obsolete in the summer window.
